1. Eat it to lose weight…
Chia owes its slimming properties to the fiber. One ounce (28 grams) of the product contains 11 grams of fiber. And
why is it good for you, when you’re counting calories? The fiber absorbs large amounts of water and it expands in the stomach. That’s why fiber increases fullness and you can eat smaller portions of food.
But that’s not everything! Chia contains also proteins that could help to reduce appetite and food intake. It is worth noticing that chia is not the perfect recipe for the obesity, like: “eat it and you will lose your weight”. No! It can help you, but if you would like to lose a few centimeters off your tummy, think about balanced diet and exercises.
2. Eat it to stay young and make your bones stronger…

- Selenium has an antioxidant properties, so it protects cells from damage from free radicals and also helps the body absorb vitamin E, which is called the elixir of youth.
- Magnesium, calcium, zinc which protect cells against oxidative damage.
- Phosphorous, calcium and manganese are essential for metabolizing carbohydrates, forming bones and regenerating red blood cells.
3. Eat to improve the exercise performance…
Chia is a rich source of magnesium. What does it mean? It is important for metabolism and for muscle and nerve function. It helps convert food into energy – so your exercises will be more effective, you will be able to train longer and gain better results. Furthermore – magnesium plays huge role in carbohydrate, protein and lipid metabolism, what is important not only for sportsmen but also for those who cares of their silhouette.
4. How to eat chia?
Regarding benefits from eating chia – we have everything clear. After reading this article – probably nobody will be dubious about validity of eating meals with chia. But… Exactly in what way should we eat it?
Luckily – seeds can be incorporated into other foods and – what’s more – they have little flavor of their own, so that’s why you can add them to your usual meals – and prepare easy, healthy, tasty and brand new snacks for you and your family.
